Have Impact on Childcare and Transportation – Join a BBOT Task Force

Have impact and help shape solutions through the Burnaby Board of Trade’s Task Forces.   BBOT Task Forces are small, action-orientated, time-limited groups which help the BBOT review and develop public policy positions and statements on a number of topics.

While direct experience in a subject area is always appreciated, feedback and insights from all BBOT members is sought.

The Burnaby Board of Trade is currently looking for volunteers for two Task Force / Committee opportunities:

  • Childcare
    • The City of Burnaby is finalizing a Childcare Action Plan and the Burnaby Board of Trade will be submitted feedback into this process.  This Task Force will review the City’s plan, and provide feedback on areas to be prioritized, actions to be added, and other general feedback
    • This will be an expedited Task Force — the deadline for our final feedback is April 7, so the Task Force will be meeting digitally on April 1 and April 6

  • Transportation
    • The Burnaby Board of Trade is reconvening its Transportation Task Force to review new transportation matters.
    • Previously, this Task Force helped develop recommendations towards the City’s official Transportation Plan, but we’re now looking for additional members to join this group.
    • This Task Force will meet a number of times digitally over the next couple of months.
