Business Sentiment Report Issued Following BBOT Government and Business Forum

The Burnaby Board of Trade has released a Business Sentiment Report summarizing the concerns and issues raised by over 40 major employers and key business stakeholders during a special Government and Business Forum held on March 5.

As part of the Burnaby Board of Trade’s role as a convener of business and government leaders, the forum was held with all four of Burnaby’s provincial MLAs and all three of Burnaby’s federal MPs to facilitate dialogue and discussion on the concerns and needs of employers as we move through the pandemic and our economy recovers.

Among the issues discussed were the importance of vaccine roll-out and administration, affordability and the impact of high housing and gas prices, access to both domestic and international skilled workers,  and the importance of childcare and education to the economy.
