2021 Burnaby By-Election – Council Candidate Discussions

Burnaby is holding a by-election on June 26 to elect two new Councillors to fill vacancies on City Council. The elected Councillors will join City Council and serve until October 15, 2022 when the next regularly scheduled election will be held.

City Council directly impacts Burnaby businesses through their decisions on zoning, planning, transportation policy and more at the city level, and the Burnaby Board of Trade works closely with Mayor and Council to ensure the voice of business is heard and considered in all City decision-making.

To help Burnaby voters and our members understand their options for City Council in this by-election, the Burnaby Board of Trade invited all 14 candidates to join us for video discussions on why they are running, what they want to bring to council, and how they’ll approach key issues impacting business in our city.

Watch these discussion videos with all of the candidates below, and remember to vote on June 26th or during advance voting.   For more information on voting, visit the City of Burnaby here.
