Burnaby Mayor Delivers Annual State of the City Address to Business Community

Last week, the Burnaby Board of Trade hosted Burnaby Mayor Derek Corrigan for its annual State of the City Luncheon.  This largest-ever such event attracted 360 business professionals and community leaders to hear a detailed update on the direction and priorities of the City of Burnaby over the coming year.  Mayor Corrigan’s speech provided information on ongoing development projects in the city’s four quadrants (Metrotown, Lougheed, Edmonds, Brentwood) and where future residential, commercial and industrial opportunities would be focused.  The speech also provided an overview of the city’s economic status, updates on projects to streamline city systems and processes, and details on various community, culture and park enhancements.
