Burnaby Arts Council Present the 45th Annual Deer Lake Craft Festival

Since 1971 the Burnaby Arts Council has sponsored and presented the Deer Lake Craft Festival. The Craft Festival is held annually at the beautiful Shadbolt Center for the Arts, 6450 Deer Lake Avenue Burnaby, next to Deer Lake Park.

Throughout the weekend, a wonderful variety of performers, such as the colourful Gordon Oliver, members of the Burnaby Mountain Sr Secondary choir, violinist Nicole Scoffield, Audinos featuring Chris Blaber & Joel MacKenzie plus MANY more all weekend long, will provide entertainment for all ages over the festival weekend.

Volunteers from local Burnaby High schools will be on site to help with Santa’s workshop where you will find face painting, hands-on free art workshop and kids decorating their own free yummy Christmas shortbread cookie baked fresh from one of the local Burnaby Festival Artisans – Sable Shortbread.  Kids will enjoy the art of cookie decorating with a variety of sprinkles, coloured sugars and icing.

Visitors will enjoy live music and entertainment, door prizes and raffle draws.  Don’t miss out on the opportunity to finish all of your Christmas shopping in one location; well before that December deadline!

For more information about the participating artisans, musicians & entertainment please go to their website,  www.burnabyartscouncil.org.   Festival runs Friday, November 18th 11 am – 7pm, Saturday, Nov 19th, 10 – 5 pm and Sunday, Nov 20, 10 – 5 pm @ the Shadbolt Centre for the Arts, 6450 Deer Lake Ave. Burnaby.
