SFU Team Takes First Place at JDC West Competition

Students representing BBOT member Simon Fraser University took first place at this year’s JDC West competition, the best performance every by SFU in the prestigious business competition.

The SFU team won first place in eight categories, including School of the Year and Academic School of the Year, in addition to Athletics, Business Strategy, Debate, Finance, International Business, and Marketing.

The JDC West competition is a three-day event that showcases academics, athletics, debate, and an out-of-the-box social competition. This prestigious event hosts approximately 1300 attendees with 600 undergraduate delegates from twelve of the premier post-secondary institutions across British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan, and Manitoba, and this year was hosted by the Beedie School of Business in Burnaby at SFU’s campus.
