“Local Business Support Grant” Featured Recipient – Green Bamboo Vietnamese Restaurant

In response to the challenges of COVID-19, the Burnaby Board of Trade launched a grant program to support our members that was unprecedented amongst chambers of commerce and boards of trade.  Funded and administered directly by the BBOT, the Local Business Support Grant sought to help our local members invest in new equipment, education or other resources to support their businesses through this next phase of the pandemic, and position themselves for a stronger recovery.   Read our features on some of the businesses who participated in this program:

The featured
Local Business Support Grant recipient is: Green Bamboo Vietnamese Restaurant

Located on the outside of The Crystal Mall in Metrotown, Green Bamboo Vietnamese Restaurant is a family-run business operated by a husband-and-wife team.  Green Bamboo offers their customers traditional Vietnamese recipes hailing from Haiphong, Vietnam, including their well-loved beef noodle soup, spring rolls, and vermicelli dishes.

With support from the Burnaby Board of Trade’s Local Business Support Grant, Green Bamboo was able to install new, movable dividers for use creating barriers between tables, added additional storage for the kitchen operations, and installed new bench seating for their customers.
