BtEG Program: HR Development Sessions

The HR capacity of small and medium organizations is often stretched thin. For many, important HR tasks like recruitment, on-boarding and retention of employees are handled “off the side of the desk” by business owners or managers who may or may not have the necessary training, knowledge or time.

The Bridging the Employment Gap (BtEG) program’s HR Development Sessions will offer an exclusive curriculum to build and support the HR capacity of small to medium organizations.

Small groups of local organizations will complete the sessions together, offering opportunities for peer learning and collaboration amongst the participants while providing dedicated training on topics such as:

  • Success with finding and integrating newcomer talent in your workplace
  • Staying ahead of changes in employment law and employer responsibilities
  • Crafting appealing and inclusive job descriptions to ensure maximum interest from candidates
  • Building a winning company culture and future to retain your team

This program will be offered exclusively and complimentary to BBOT members, and will be delivered to our first small-group cohort starting in early 2020.   For more information or to inquire about joining the first cohort, contact Molly Martin, BBOT Project Lead at workforce@bbot.ca
