BC Chamber welcomes the Burnaby Board of Trade, strengthening the “Voice of Business in B.C.”

The BC Chamber of Commerce is delighted to welcome the Burnaby Board of Trade (BBOT) as its newest member.

The BC Chamber is the largest and most broadly-based business organization in the province. Representing more than 125 Chambers of Commerce and 36,000 businesses of every size, sector and region of the province, the BC Chamber advocates for business-friendly public policy in B.C.

“The BC Chamber is B.C.’s largest business advocacy organization and our strength comes from our membership, which reaches into every corner of the province,” said Jon Garson, BC Chamber president and CEO. “In welcoming the Burnaby Board of Trade back into our membership, we are excited to gain a strong and effective partner, and to broaden our reach as the ‘Voice of Business in B.C.’”

The Burnaby Board of Trade is Burnaby’s premier member-based business association, serving approximately 1,100 organizations across the Lower Mainland. The BBOT brings businesses together to develop strong networks, represents the interests of the business community to government, and fosters economic development, while providing members with a range of specialized benefits and services. The BBOT proudly promotes a triple bottom line of economic, social and environmental results.

“The Burnaby Board of Trade is very excited to be joining the BC Chamber of Commerce to play an active role in developing key strategic planning initiatives and to ensure our voice is heard on issues of importance to our members and local stakeholders,” said Paul Holden, president and CEO.

“We strongly believe in the importance of collaboration with other chambers in our region and across the province, and the BC Chamber represents the best opportunity for us to connect with and strengthen the chamber network for the benefit of businesses everywhere,” Holden said.
