Accessing Student Talent for Your Business

 

Businesses from Burnaby and the Lower Mainland have unrivalled access to skilled talent thanks to our world-class post-secondary institutions.  But how do you find and access that talent, and what are the various ways students can help and support your business?

Through our partnership with the BC Chamber of Commerce, Burnaby Board of Trade members can access Talent Forward, an initiative to help businesses access the great talent at our local post-secondary institutions.

Talent Forward provides resources, information, and one-on-one advising to help business navigate all of the student talent opportunities that exist.

Talent Forward has held a number of webinars with local post-secondary institutions across the province.  On April 29, the Lower Mainland session was held in partnership with the Burnaby Board of Trade, SFU, BCIT and Douglas College.

One-on-One Advising:

Through the Talent Forward advising service, they help you navigate the numerous student talent programs available at BC public post-secondary schools to select the best student talent program(s) to recruit from for your business.

They help you understand common recruitment processes, timelines, and considerations for hiring students from public post-secondary institutions in BC as well as funding you may be eligible for.
