Access Program Annual Case Competition 2021 with YVR Prep Wraps Successfully

The Burnaby Board of Trade’s Access Student Career Development Program hosted its annual Case Competition on June 4th. This student led initiative enables students to demonstrate leadership both as organizers and as participants.

A big thanks to Jason Wong, co-owner of YVR Prep,  and food entrepreneur, who worked closely with the organizing committee to help them build a business case.

“It was a great experience working with the Access organizing team.  Their enthusiasm and drive helped bring our business case to life and I was impressed overall with the quality of the presentations from the competing teams.  This experience was a great opportunity for all of us to learn from each other.”

Serafine Go, Access Case Competition Committee members says, “Being part of the 2021 Access Case Committee has taught me valuable soft skills such as accountability, time management, and being organized. I also learned to worry less about things that are outside of my control. I’m grateful to be a part of the team and I can’t wait to apply these skills in the workplace.”

The competition could not be possible without the participation of volunteer judges.

A big thanks to Andrew Kwieton, Ritchie Bros. Auctioneers’,  Clark Lim, Acuere Consulting and Jason Ding, JD Accounting, Tax and Consulting

The case competition would be not be possible without the participation of students from BCIT, SFU and Douglas College who competed.
