You’re Invited- BCITSA Entrepreneurial Services Kicks Off with ‘LAUNCH’

Entrepreneurial Services is a brand new department of the BCIT Student Association which has come about based off of student demand. Next week they’ll be holding a kickoff event, LAUNCH, to spread the word about our programs and services to the BCIT community and their partners.

The event will run from 10am-2pm on Wed. September 28th in the Great Hall and presentations will begin at 11:30. BCIT alumni and student entrepreneurs across various industries will be showcasing their companies in interactive booths throughout the duration of the event as part of our Entrepreneur Showcase. BCIT alumni and co-founders of Procurify, Aman Mann, Eugene Dong and Kenneth Loi starting off the presentations with a fireside chat. They will be sharing their story of how they were placed together on an Operations Management consulting project at BCIT and transitioned to running a leading mobile and cloud-based procure-to-pay platform with a user base spanning 100 countries.

Following the fireside chat with Procurify, there will be a Q&A Entrepreneur Panel with some of our Entrepreneur Showcase participants:

There will be prizes, giveaways, food and drink samples from Habitat and the Stand, and an interactive game with the neartuit app (Terra Tap Technologies). Each of the showcase entrepreneurs will have fun and engaging booths including Elixir 7’s photo booth and Spira 3D’s 3D printers.
