Women’s Business Success Network Holds Latest Panel Discussion

The Burnaby Board of Trade’s Women’s Business Success Network held its latest event on November 15th featuring a panel discussion with women leading in non-traditional sectors such as sports, and engineering.  Nearly 100 women and men attended the luncheon event, which featured a networking reception including a photo booth by TNT Event Planning, chocolate tasting by Mon Paris Patisserie, and the famous WBSN DIY Mimosa Bar.

The panel featured a discussion between Rachel Lewis, COO of the Vancouver Whitecaps, Marie-Eve Clayton, Operations Leader with Stantec, and Leslie Kristoff, Manager of Environmental Programs with FortisBC, and was facilitated by Cathy Kuzel of The Connected Woman Association.  The panel covered topics of leadership, supporting and empowering women in business, and reflections on their own experiences in fields often traditionally considered male-dominated sectors.
