Ricoh Event: Envision & Achieve Your Business Potential with Keynote Speaker John Furlong

Ricoh Canada Inc. (Ricoh), proud member of the Burnaby Board of Trade, is pleased to present Envision & Achieve Your Business Potential on Tuesday November 17th at the Vancouver Convention Centre. This breakfast event will include a keynote presentation by John Furlong. Mr. Furlong served as the CEO of the 2010 Winter Olympic & Paralympic games and is credited to what has been recognized by the IOC as the most successful Winter Games ever. In his keynote presentation, John will provide insight to the many challenges of overseeing a workforce and volunteer network of over 50,000 as well as stories of overcoming adversity as well as celebration of business and personal goals. His leadership and ability to communicate at all levels is legendary and his presentations are renowned for being an emotional roller coaster of incredible stories of events and challenges within the games that must be experienced first hand.

The event agenda includes very relevant and insightful breakout sessions following the keynote address. Each participant in the event will have the opportunity to attend the following sessions:

The Money of IT

Where and how to prioritize spending.

Drive greater value from IT expenditure through the alignment of Business needs and IT decisions. Discussion will center around where IT money is commonly spent, how to measure the value that IT expenditure brings to a business, how to prevent wasting dollars and how to leverage IT in a more effective manner.

Secure Yet Accessible Cloud
Keeping employees and IT happy.

Today’s enterprise users want a simple and intuitive way to share files in their business environment seamlessly on all devices, and collaborate with colleagues, customers and partners. According to Gartner Group, “IT leaders responsible for digital workplace initiatives MUST introduce Electronic File Sync & Share (EFSS)” as a “must have” tool for the modern, collaborative real-time workplace. Enterprise IT, on the other hand, is concerned with the lack of control over corporate data, and the security and compliance risk it presents. Recent breaches into public consumer cloud services have proven those concerns to be justified, and the best course of action is creating a secure, easy-to-use alternative. Join us as we present how Ricoh together with CTera have partnered to provide a secure enterprise-grade file-sync and share alternative to consumer cloud file sharing services.

Ditch Document Chaos in 2016
Take control and empower decision making.

Join us for a frank discussion on how far we’ve deviated from good organizational practices once we started sharing documents in network folders and in Sharepoint. Are we any better at finding documents than when we housed paper documents in file folders with precise labels? Scanning paper documents and saving email attachments has added to the chaos and confusion.

In addition to the breakout sessions, Ricoh will also be hosting a technology expo. We will have on display a boardroom of the future in which technologies being demonstrate will include industry leading unified communications and collaborative smart technologies. This must be seen to be believed. The event includes breakfast and parking vouchers will be supplied. Registration to this no charge event is required on or before November 10th. Registration details are contained within the enclosed attachment.
