Info Session on Gas Line Upgrade and Burnaby Construction Plans

In preparation for the continuation of construction of the FortisBC Gas Line Upgrade through Burnaby, an information session is being held to provide local businesses and residents an opportunity to ask questions and learn more about the project, its timeline, and the construction/road closure plans.

This project is an important upgrade to the local natural gas system, but as construction begins again in Burnaby it will result in lane closures and traffic restrictions, including on Lougheed Highway and Gaglardi Way.

Burnaby Information Session
Thursday, February 28
5:30 to 7:30 p.m.
Cedar Room, Cameron Recreation Complex, 9523 Cameron Street
Register here.

The Burnaby Board of Trade has been communicating information about this upgrade to businesses in the areas affected throughout the project’s construction, including at a joint BBOT-Fortis event in 2018. We will continue to share updates with the business community to help you understand the project, and plan around any inconveniences.

If you have any questions or concerns about this project, feel free to contact the Burnaby Board of Trade at cory@bbot.ca or contact Fortis at this info session, at their TalkingEnergy.ca site, or read the announcement on 2019 construction.
