Have Thoughts on the Overdose Crisis and Impacts on Business? Join BBOT Discussion on April 12

Addictions and Drug Policy has been identified by Burnaby Board of Trade members and the BBOT’s Social Development Committee as an area of concern.

On April 12, the BBOT and the Burnaby Overdose Community Action Team wants to hear from members of the Burnaby business community on the impacts of the overdose crisis, and what can be done to improve the response.

Join a focus group discussion with the BBOT and the Burnaby Overdose Community Action Team and contribute to our understanding of how the current overdose response can be improved, and what is important to businesses in regards to the overdose crisis.

How has the overdose crisis impacted your business or business district?  What supports would help you in dealing with those impacts?  What needs to be done better or differently to help people with substance use/abuse?

The Burnaby Overdose Community Action Team is working towards a plan outlining strengths and gaps of Burnaby’s response to the overdose crisis and how the response can be improved, and this focus group discussion will assist with that, and with providing information and education about the crisis and how to better respond to the situation.
