Deer Lake Craft Festival artisans deliver a one-stop Christmas shop

High-quality vendors and artisans have always been a staple of the Deer Lake Craft Festival, but for the event’s 49th year attendees can also enjoy a standout cast of performers and musicians.
Presented by the Burnaby Arts Council and the City of Burnaby, the craft festival runs November 22-24 at Shadbolt Centre for the Arts. The festival is unique among holiday craft markets in Metro Vancouver in its tradition of jurying artisans to include vendors with only the highest quality, handcrafted creations.
More than 60 artisans will display their creations, including glass blowers, sculptors and potters, as well as fashion and jewelry designers. For those with a sweet tooth, there will be a delicious range of food to sample, including chocolates, mixed spices, jams, jellies and chutneys.

New this year will be an expanded list of performers throughout the weekend spreading the holiday cheer as shoppers take part in the one-stop Christmas extravaganza. The lineup includes performers such as the Steve Maddock Quartet, the Cat Murphy Band and Artemisia Duo.
There will be several first-time vendors too, offering something new for everyone whether it’s your first time at the Deer Lake Christmas Festival or your forty-ninth.
