Burnaby Young Professionals Network Event Recap

On the heels of their successful launch event, the Burnaby Young Professionals Network (BYPN) held their first ”How To” workshop in a series aimed at supporting emerging leaders.

The workshop, “Building Relationships Instead of Collecting Cards” was a great success with over 35 young professionals coming together! It was designed to help transform the networking experience from a stressful necessity to an enjoyable activity. The workshop was facilitated by Ryan St, Germaine, CEO at BCjobs.ca, BC Tech Jobs & Jobcast, and Camila Louzada, a Chartered Professional in Human Resources, world-class Recruiter and Career Coach.

The BYPN will continue to offer workshops and networking opportunities for Burnaby’s young professionals throughout 2017BYPN Chair Renee Chau says “The BYPN has an amazing team of young professionals who are passionate about building a program that will provide an avenue for people to gain the resources, skills, and network they need to grow their career” We are working hard to develop content that is timely and relevant for today’s job market” she added. “This is an amazing opportunity to work with an organization that trusts the committee to determine the overall vision while providing the necessary support to move things forward, so it will be exciting to see how this program evolves over the next few years.”  To find out more about BYPN visit the programs page or contact Tessa Vanderkop.
