Burnaby Board of Trade Members Explore Business Opportunities with Hong Kong

As part of its High Tea event series, the Burnaby Board of Trade held a special dim sum event on March 30th, 2015 with special guests from the Hong Kong Trade Development Council, the Hong Kong Economic & Trade Office and the Hong Kong Canada Business Association.

Representatives from these organizations presented on the potential opportunities that exist for Burnaby businesses in Hong Kong, whether for import/export businesses or for firms looking to use Hong Kong as a base to expand their business into mainland China.

There is a lot of alignment between Hong Kong’s key sectors and Burnaby’s economic clusters, particularly in the areas of clean technology, health/bio-technology and digital arts/film, which creates natural avenues for partnership.

This event was part of the Burnaby Board of Trade’s long-standing efforts to foster relationships and build contacts in various cities and countries around the world, with a particular focus on the Asia Pacific.  Members can learn more about the BBOT’s international relationships by visiting our special International Business Resources webpage.
