Burnaby Association for South East Side Donates $73,000 to Burnaby Schools

The Burnaby NOW has published an article which highlights Burnaby Association for South East Side (BASES) remarkable fundraising achievements and their goals for continuing their amazing work. BASES was created to support out-of-school programming at six schools through offering things such as summer camps, dance clubs, arts and crafts clubs, and music programs. At the heart of this non-profit is a goal to make sure that kids from all parts of town and all backgrounds are not left behind or without when compared to their classmates. In 2013, the founders opened up a thrift store to help with their fundraising efforts. By the end of the 2016/17 school year, BASES will have invested $73,000 into Burnaby schools. The team at BASES is looking forward to the 2017/2018 year and hoping to continue to support schools every way that they can.
