BCIT School of Business + Media – Accounting, Finance & Insurance, Projects in Industry Opportunities
Are you a business that could benefit from accounting or finance-related support on projects that could be of value to your organization?
Do you have projects that you have been wanting to undertake that involves procedures, processes, or problems in managerial or financial accounting?
BCIT School of Business + Media is offering an elective course from students in the Accounting Diploma program who are looking to work as student consultants to businesses in need of support in the following areas:
- reviewing a firm’s costing or pricing process, budgeting process
- performance management reporting
- corporate financial analysis (not securities financial analysis),
- planning project, or any other accounting or financial issue relevant to the firm.
This is not a co-op or internship program, so the students are not to be assigned actual positions but will work in teams of two or three acting in a consulting role applying their program training for the business/organization. Projects will be presented to businesses between March 1 – 12, 2021.
Project Submission Deadline: November 15th
Confirmation of Project and Project Details: December 15th
Program Kick-off: A 10-week elective course of 40 hours to begin January 4, 2021.
