As the signature effort of the Burnaby Board of Trade, the Centre was developed in consultation with business, government, community and labour representatives during the COVID-19 pandemic and is the platform for programming and initiatives that support and foster resilience in our business community for the post-pandemic world.
In 2023, the Centre will focus on two priority areas: workforce development and digital technology. The Centre will provide programming, resources, communications and more related to these priority areas, including:
- Digital Development Assistance Program:
- A BBOT developed program offering hands-on supports for small and medium businesses with building their digital presence through the use of local youth and post-secondary students.
- Business Resilience Webinar Series
- A series of programming and educational events designed to upskill, inform and educate the Burnaby business community on business best practices in the focus areas of human resources and digital technology.
