As the signature initiative of the Burnaby Board of Trade, the Centre for Business and Workforce Development was created in collaboration with business, government, community, and labour representatives. It serves as a hub for programming and initiatives to strengthen business resilience in Burnaby.

The Centre focuses on two key areas: Workforce Development and Workforce Readiness. It provides programming, resources, communications, and more, including:

Business Workforce Development Programming 

• Connecting businesses with local talent from post-secondary institutions, including support for work-integrated learning opportunities.
• Brings together stakeholders to collaboratively tackle workforce issues. Through programs, partnerships, and centralized resources, it builds awareness, engagement, and pathways between industries and job-seekers to achieve shared outcomes.

Business Resilience Webinar Series

• A series of events focused on upskilling the Burnaby business community in best practices for human resources, digital technology, business law, accounting, marketing and more.
