Capacity Limits Lifted for Restaurants, Meetings and Events; BC Vaccine Card Now Requires 2-Doses

Starting Monday, October 25, the capacity limits on many activities in Burnaby and across the Lower Mainland implemented in response to COVID-19 have been lifted.

For venues where proof of vaccination is required, those events can return to full capacity, including weddings, parties, business events, indoor sporting events, indoor concerts, theatres, movie theatres, and symphony events.   Dancing is still not permitted and masks are still required indoors.

In addition, the requirement to remain seated at a table in restaurants and pubs will be lifted, and a reminder that there are no limits to table size or group size at restaurants.

For the latest regional and provincial restrictions related to COVID-19, please consult the Government of BC website.

Starting October 24, any venues or businesses for which the BC Vaccine Card is required for entry will now require two doses or full vaccination.  Until now, a transition period had permitted entry to those with only a single dose.  For information on the BC Vaccine Card, click here.
