BBOT Holds Annual Christmas Luncheon, Members Donate $1500, Toys for Burnaby Christmas Bureau

On December 3rd, the Burnaby Board of Trade wrapped up its event calendar with the return of the annual BBOT Christmas Luncheon, where we welcomed 175 attendees, including Santa Claus himself, to bring in the holiday season.

A highlight of the event is the BBOT Gingerbread House Competition, where tables compete to construct the best gingerbread creation.  This year, the heated competition included a haunted graveyard, a gingerbread supply chain, and a beachside oasis, but the winner was the traditional snowy cabin created by the team of Park Insurance, The Big Picture Coach, Royal Columbian Hospital Foundation and Tourism Burnaby!

As part of this yearly holiday event, attendees bring toys and games to the event as part of an annual toy drive.  In addition, a 50/50 raffle and a silent auction also generate funds to support the work of the Burnaby Christmas Bureau, this year raising over $1,500 to held Burnaby families have a merry Christmas.  Thank you to our silent auction donors including:  Holiday Inn Express Metrotown, Daiya Foods, Dageraad Brewing, Delta Hotels by Marriott Burnaby Conference Centre, and Earls Restaurants.

The BBOT would like to thank everyone who participated in this year’s event, and wishes everyone the best for the holiday season!
