About the Burnaby Board of Trade
Founded in 1910, the Burnaby Board of Trade (BBOT) has been a cornerstone of Burnaby’s business community for over a century. As Burnaby’s leading business association, we’ve proudly grown alongside the city, shaping its economic landscape and supporting businesses of all sizes through connection, advocacy, and development.
In addition to serving over 1,100 members, we are honoured to be the official economic development office for the City of Burnaby. In this vital role, we collaborate closely with government, industry, and community partners to drive sustainable growth, attract investment, and ensure that Burnaby continues to be a thriving hub for business and innovation. Our position allows us to have a direct impact on shaping policies and strategies that benefit the entire city.
We host more than 70 events annually, providing unmatched networking opportunities, learning, and professional development opportunities. With over five active committees tackling key issues like government relations, sustainability, and DEI, BBOT is at the forefront of creating positive change for our community.
Our commitment to workforce development is reflected in several programs designed to prepare businesses and employees for the future, ensuring that Burnaby remains competitive in emerging sectors. Whether advocating for fair policies or fostering connections, BBOT is your trusted partner in building a resilient and prosperous economy.
More than just a membership, the Burnaby Board of Trade is where your business belongs—within a vibrant community committed to innovation, collaboration, and shared success.
