A BBOT Christmas Luncheon to Remember

The Burnaby Board of Trade community came together in the true spirit of the season at our annual Christmas Luncheon, demonstrating generosity and kindness in action. This festive event was more than just a celebration — it was an opportunity to make a difference. Thanks to the overwhelming support of attendees, we raised an incredible $3,430 and collected hundreds of gifts for the Burnaby Christmas Bureau. These contributions will help ensure that local families in need can enjoy a brighter holiday season.

The afternoon was filled with holiday cheer, from a lively Gingerbread Contest showcasing the creativity of our members to the joy of connecting with peers and colleagues in a festive atmosphere. But the event's highlight was the incredible display of generosity that embodies the BBOT spirit.

A particularly heartwarming moment came during the 50/50 draw. The lucky winner from Parkland Corporation graciously donated her winnings back to the Burnaby Christmas Bureau.

This thoughtful act of giving underscored the true meaning of the holidays and inspired everyone in attendance.

The Christmas Luncheon not only brought our members together but also demonstrated the power of community to make a tangible impact. Each donation, whether monetary or in the form of a gift, contributes to a collective effort that uplifts those in need and strengthens the bonds within our community.

We are incredibly proud of what the BBOT community achieved through this event and grateful to everyone who participated, donated, and shared in the holiday spirit. We’ve proven that when we come together, we can create positive change and bring joy to those who need it most.

Thank you for helping make this season one of generosity and hope. Here's to continuing to support our community and making a difference throughout the year.
