BBOT members are invited to attend an upcoming training session:  Hire (Diverse) Talent – Exclusive for Small Business Owners/Operators

Is your business having to adjust to the new reality that comes with current workforce shortages in the lower mainland?  Are you struggling to find employees? Join us to learn how other businesses have successfully expanded their hiring practices to intentionally include people with disabilities/diverse abilities like never before.  Hiring inclusively is not about charity or doing good deeds – it’s about having access to resources to sustain your business viability.  This event will focus on practical ways that hiring managers can adapt hiring practices, and gain a business advantage, by tapping into this talent pool. The session will be made up of two main components:

  1. A Panel Discussion including Q&A on How to Hire and Keep Diverse Talent – small business owners with experience sharing how they successfully hired people with diverse abitlies:
  2. Legal Responsibilities – An employer’s legal duty to accommodate, consideration of disclosure, and identifying what is a reasonable accommodation or easy adjustments in the workplace
