Seeking volunteers for MOSAIC Career Paths Connections Night

MOSAIC Career Paths Connections Night is hosting a networking event for skilled immigrants and is looking for two types of volunteers to support the event!

  1. Professionals to network with our clients

This role would involve participating in the networking portion of our event. You would be expected to chat with clients in a networking event setting, share information about your career area/company, and give tips to help them succeed. If you have hiring capabilities in your company, all the better! Any career area is great, but we do have clusters of clients in accounting, administration, HR, business, education, psychology, and health fields.

Time Commitment: 6:15 – 7:45 pm (1.5 hours), but you’re welcome to arrive earlier to listen to the client panel.

  1. Networking Practice Volunteers

This role would involve helping our clients practice networking in a room separate from the main networking event. Clients who would like to practice before joining the big networking event would come to you for feedback on their mini elevator pitch. You would ask them a simple question, “What do you do?” and provide a simple evaluation of their response. You will be guided in this activity by our occupation-specific language specialist, Jason Green.

Time Commitment: 6:00 – 7:30 pm (1.5 hours), but you’re welcome to arrive earlier to listen to the client panel.
