Proposed Federal Policy Resolutions Available for Review

As part of the Burnaby Board of Trade’s policy and advocacy efforts, it will be attending the Canadian Chamber of Commerce AGM later this month and will be debating and voting on 66 different policy resolutions being proposed. These policies are being proposed by various chambers and boards of trades from across the country, and touch on everything from food labeling to tax rates to immigration.

The BBOT’s policy and advocacy efforts are member-driven, and provides a great opportunity for members to share their input, ideas and concerns.

The BBOT invites its members to review the proposed federal policies which are contained in the 2018 Proposed Policy Resolutions book (click here), and share any thoughts they may have on any policy.  Feedback can be shared directly with Cory Redekop, manager of policy and stakeholder relations at cory@bbot.ca or 604-412-0100.

The policies cover the areas of Energy, National Resources, Agriculture/Agri-Food, Human Resources/Skills, Infrastructure, Innovation, International Affairs, Regulatory/Internal Trade, Small Business, Social Policy, Transportation, Finance, and Tax Policy.
