Hemlock to install HP Indigo 100K Digital Press

Hemlock Printers is elevating its printing capabilities with the latest addition to its pressroom, the HP Indigo 100K Digital Press. This press is the world’s most productive B2 digital printing solution, complementing Hemlock’s existing line-up of Heidelberg XL UV offset and HP Indigo Series 3 digital presses.

With installation scheduled for the end of April, the press is expected to be production-ready by mid-May.

Printing up to 3,000 colour sheets per hour on sheet sizes up to 20 ½” x 29 ½”, the Indigo 100K is a digital offset press engineered for quality and consistency and is perfectly suited to the diverse range of products that Hemlock provides customers across North America.

“The addition of the 100K press will have a transformational impact on our business, empowering us to competitively deliver short-run, high quality printed products through highly automated workflows. It will open new doors of innovation, driving improvements throughout our entire process,” says Richard Kouwenhoven, Hemlock’s President and CEO.

“We are very excited to be extending our partnership with Hemlock, a company with a solid vision who believes in the digital transformation,” says Nachum Korman, HP’s Vice President & General Manager, Worldwide Industrial Print Go-To-Market.

The expansion of Hemlock’s digital print capabilities will include the relocation of one HP Indigo Series 3 press to its Los Angeles-based production facility. The press, supported by expanded finishing capabilities, is expected to be operational by early June.  Hemlock’s Los Angeles facility will specialize in on-demand book production along with other short-run digital work for US-based clients.
