Burnaby’s Iconic Hilton Vancouver Metrotown Named 2019 Burnaby Business Hall of Fame Inductee

 

 

The Burnaby Board of Trade (BBOT) is pleased to announce that Burnaby’s iconic Hilton Vancouver Metrotown will be this year’s inductee into the prestigious Burnaby Business Hall of Fame. The Hall of Fame induction is a special honour bestowed jointly by the BBOT and the City of Burnaby each year to a widely-recognized, Burnaby-based business that has demonstrated outstanding business success over many years and has had a positive and significant impact on the community.

Twenty years ago, on November 3rd, 1999 the Hilton Vancouver Metrotown Vancouver opened its doors to the community and to guests from around the world. In those twenty years the Hilton Vancouver Metrotown built a reputation as a hotel whose service exudes warmth, hospitality, and professionalism, as well as an extraordinary commitment to community.

Opening its doors in 1999, the Hilton Vancouver Metrotown was the second Hilton to open in the province. Since its inception it has been the recipient of numerous awards including Best Hotel in Burnaby, Best Sales Team as well as, the Connie, the Hilton’s most prestigious award in recognition of properties who have the highest level of guest satisfaction and product.

Fox Theatre, BC Heart and Stroke Foundation, Ronald McDonald House, Canadian Diabetes, The Food bank, Burnaby Firefighters Angel’s Breakfast, BC Cancer Society, Burnaby Hospital Foundation, Burnaby Family Life Festival of trees,  Make a Wish Foundation B.C. and Yukon .

The Hilton Vancouver Metrotown will be formally inducted at the Burnaby Business Hall of Fame Induction Luncheon on October 3rd at the Hilton Vancouver Metrotown Hotel. Shortlisted finalists for each category of the 20th annual Burnaby Business Excellence Awards will also be announced at the luncheon.
